What is unknown to me is known to Him: ) I think I often forget that things don’t “occur” to the Lord. He knows all things. Omniscient. He controls all things. Sovereign. In the midst of the countless things I am uncertain of…I am certain HE IS GOOD. “If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.” 2 Tim. 2: 13
I find myself asking the Lord, “What is Your will for the future?” However, I forget that there are many things NOW that I KNOW are His will.
“For this is the will of God, your sanctification…For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification.” 1 Thess. 4:3
“Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” John 17:17
“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matt. 28:18-20
These are things I know. To be sanctified. To make disciples. To devote myself to the teaching of the Word, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. I pray the Lord will help keep me faithful in the things I know to be His will and to trust Him and seek Him in the things I don’t.
“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
Reading that, I couldn't help but think of how you're following Jesus's example by quoting scripture after scripture. I'm so glad it's written on your hearts:)
