So I may have gotten a little excited about our first "Married Christmas" :) It all started with my deciding that I was going to make a lot of our decorations (Pinterest is wonderful tutor for those of us who are creatively challenged!) so that we would still be able to decorate, but not have to spend a lot of money. I was able to get everything for less than 35 dollars (thanks to Hobby Lobby and their 50% off on Christmas decor!) When I told Nathan he said that we could decorate as soon as I was finished making everything. I think he thought it would take me longer.... we decorated on Halloween:) While most folks were out trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins, and partaking in all their Halloween festivities...my sweet hubby and I were drinking hot cocoa, listening to Christmas music, and putting up our Christmas decorations! Crazy, I know. We decided that even though it was a little early...this year began our new traditions as a Douthit family so we had to go all out with the music and cocoa. For those of you who may not know Nate, he doesn't like to do things halfway...which is one of the things I love about him:) So, crazy as it may seem, we are enjoying our red hot cinnamon smelling, Christmas tree lit, festively decorated apartment. And as a little disclaimer: we proudly celebrate Thanksgiving:)
