This past weekend Nathan and I had the joy of celebrating the beginning of his 23rd year in Jerusalem. It was great! To go back a bit, last year, for his 22nd birthday we celebrated by going HERE...and who would have thought that exactly one year later, we would actually be going to see it in real life? Crazy, huh? I was pretty excited about how that worked out:) So I was in charge of the planning because I really wanted it to be a surprise! For the most part, it was, however a few details might have slipped once or twice the week leading up to it:)
I figured the best way to do this would be to have a series of a few posts...I don't want to make it too long AND I have to keep you on your toes! Our prayer as we left for Jerusalem was that we would not make the place itself an idol, that we would not worship the creation, rather that being in the physical location where our redemption was purchased would lead us into worship of the Creator Himself.
