After we exited the Rampart Walk we ended up in the Armenian Quarter. It was really interesting moving from quarter to quarter and seeing the instant transition...it's fairly easy to realize when you have ventured into a new quarter. We spent a lot of time just exploring the Old City. We went to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the different stages of the Via Dolorosa, David's tomb, Schindler's tomb (which interestingly enough is located in the Old City), and we ended our Friday in the Old City with some refreshing iced coffee. After leaving the Old City we ventured into some gardens and found a cozy, romantic spot to have picnic and watch Shabbat come over the city. It was a great of view (shout to our friend Noah for recommending it!) We had gone to the market earlier that day to get some fruit and pita for our picnic...we had quite the pleasant picnic (aside from the unwanted sound of a man who, after having had a little too much to drink, found relief on the sidewalk right behind us). Needless to say, we meandered on down the hillside a bit to a new location. The picnic was a great way to end our Friday...and a great way to end part 2 : )
