While You Were Sleeping…

            While the title of this blog is inspired by a great movie (introduced to me by the Douthit’s), the content of this blog is not so much. I thought it might be fun to talk about some of the things we have done this week while our folks and friends on the other side of the pond are sleeping (not that they are lazy, but that we are 8 hours ahead!). I figured it might be a creative way to update:)

10 things we did this week… while you were sleeping:

          1.We (mostly my handy husband) built screens for our porch…no more dead bugs falling onto the dinner table (gross, I know.)

          2.     Nathan bought me flowers, biked all the way home with them, and they were perfectly intact when he surprised me at home (impressive!)

          3.     We had a holiday on Tuesday and Wednesday (you know what that means…no school!)

          4.     We received some of Nathan’s final grades and he has passed them all so far!  Praise the LordJ

          5.     We met with the summer liaison for the new incoming class…Nathan and I are going to be MSIH liaisons for the new class (meet them when they arrive in B7, help get them into their sublets, and show them around!)

          6.     Worshipped with our congregation

          7.     Improved our previously invented recipe for snickerdoodle pancakes (a Nathan Douthit original, folks!)

           8.     Talked to some friends from home who are presently in the country (hoping we can get a meal with them soon!)

          9.     Nathan kicked off organ systems with Endocrinology

        10.  Kate got coffee with a fellow first-year wife (actually it was steamed milk and a tasty cinnamon roll!)
